This critical role involves optimizing hydrocarbon recovery from existing and new reservoirs through advanced analysis and simulation. The ideal candidate will possess a strong theoretical foundation in petroleum engineering, extensive practical experience in reservoir characterization and performance forecasting, and proficiency with industry-standard reservoir simulation software. You will play a key role in developing field development plans, managing reservoir assets, and contributing to strategic decision-making.

- Collaborate with geoscientists, production engineers, and management to develop integrated field strategies.
- Evaluate the technical and economic feasibility of new exploration and development opportunities.
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in reservoir engineering technologies and methodologies.
- Mentor junior reservoir engineers and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team.
- Prepare technical reports, presentations, and recommendations for management and stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with industry best practices, environmental regulations, and company policies.
- Contribute to risk assessment and mitigation strategies for reservoir development projects.
- Perform volumetric calculations and uncertainty assessments.
- Support reserve estimations and reporting processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Petroleum Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in reservoir engineering, with a focus on simulation, performance analysis, and development planning.
- Proficiency with industry-standard reservoir simulation software (e.g., ECLIPSE, INTERSECT, CMG).
- Strong understanding of reservoir characterization techniques, petrophysics, and geology.
- Experience with production data analysis, decline curve analysis, and decline modeling.
- Knowledge of various Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR) methods.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical information clearly.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fully remote team environment.
- Professional engineering registration (e.g., PE) is a plus.
- Experience with economic evaluation software and reserve estimation is desirable.
