Job Description
Our client, a leading international energy exploration company, is seeking an experienced Senior Reservoir Engineer for a fully remote position. This role is crucial for optimizing hydrocarbon recovery and maximizing the value of oil and gas assets through advanced reservoir characterization and simulation. You will be responsible for developing and applying sophisticated reservoir simulation models to predict reservoir performance, evaluate development strategies, and support field management decisions. Your work will involve analyzing geological and engineering data, interpreting simulation results, and making recommendations for optimal well placement, production, and injection strategies. Key responsibilities include building complex geological and flow models, performing sensitivity analyses, forecasting production, and assessing uncertainty. Experience with industry-standard reservoir simulation software (e.g., Schlumberger ECLIPSE, Halliburton KAPPA, Landmark DecisionSpace) is mandatory. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python for data analysis and scripting, and a strong understanding of fluid flow in porous media, thermodynamics, and reservoir geomechanics are essential. The ideal candidate will possess a Master's or Ph.D. in Petroleum Engineering, or a related field, with a minimum of 10 years of direct experience in reservoir engineering, including hands-on experience with dynamic reservoir simulation. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to high-impact energy projects from a remote location, collaborating with a world-class team of geoscientists and engineers. While your expertise might support operations in regions like Mombasa, Mombasa, KE , the role itself is fully remote, offering significant flexibility. We are looking for a highly analytical and results-oriented professional with exceptional problem-solving skills, strong communication abilities, and a commitment to sustainable and efficient energy resource development.
