In this vital remote role, you will conduct thorough safety audits, risk assessments, and accident/incident investigations. Your ability to collaborate effectively with flight operations, maintenance, and ground handling teams globally, while providing expert safety guidance, will be critical. Key responsibilities will include:
- Developing, implementing, and managing the organization's Safety Management System (SMS).
- Conducting regular safety audits and inspections of operations, facilities, and equipment.
- Investigating aviation accidents, incidents, and safety hazards, determining root causes, and recommending corrective actions.
- Analyzing safety data to identify trends, potential risks, and areas for improvement.
- Developing and delivering safety training programs to all levels of personnel.
- Ensuring compliance with all applicable national and international aviation safety regulations.
- Promoting a proactive safety culture throughout the organization.
- Developing and maintaining safety policies and procedures.
- Preparing regular safety reports for management and regulatory authorities.
- Collaborating with all departments to integrate safety into daily operations.
- Managing the safety reporting system and ensuring timely follow-up on reported issues.
- Staying current with aviation safety trends, best practices, and regulatory changes.

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Aviation Management, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field, and hold recognized aviation safety qualifications (e.g., ISAGO Auditor, SMS qualifications). A minimum of 8 years of experience in aviation safety management, with a strong understanding of SMS principles, is required. Excellent analytical, investigative, and communication skills are essential, along with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment. Experience with Safety Management Software is a plus.
