This position is critical for optimizing and ensuring the efficiency, safety, and environmental compliance of our client's exploration and production operations. You will leverage your extensive knowledge of process engineering principles to analyze complex operational data, identify areas for improvement, and implement innovative solutions.
Responsibilities:
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical or Petroleum Engineering, with significant experience in upstream oil and gas process engineering. Strong proficiency in process simulation software, PFD/P&ID development, and thermodynamic principles is essential. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills are required for this fully remote role, enabling effective collaboration with global teams. Candidates must be self-motivated and capable of working independently. This role supports projects and operations in the region of Ongata Rongai, Kajiado, KE .
Responsibilities:
- Analyze, design, and optimize upstream oil and gas processes, including separation, dehydration, compression, and artificial lift systems.
- Develop process simulation models using industry-standard software (e.g., HYSYS, Aspen Plus) to predict performance and evaluate design modifications.
- Conduct feasibility studies and technical evaluations for new process technologies and equipment.
- Develop and review Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).
- Ensure process designs comply with all relevant safety, health, and environmental regulations and company standards.
- Troubleshoot operational issues, identify root causes, and recommend effective solutions to improve process efficiency and reliability.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including reservoir engineers, drilling engineers, and operations personnel.
- Prepare technical reports, specifications, and project documentation.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior process engineers.
- Participate in HAZOP (Hazard and Operability) studies and risk assessments.
