Our client, a leading pediatric therapy center, is seeking an experienced and compassionate Senior Pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join their team. This role offers a hybrid work model, combining remote therapy sessions with in-person client interactions. The Senior SLP will be responsible for evaluating, diagnosing, and treating speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders in children from infancy through adolescence. You will play a crucial role in developing individualized treatment plans, collaborating with families and other healthcare professionals, and contributing to the professional development of junior therapists. This position requires a strong clinical background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to adapt to various therapeutic settings.

- Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations for pediatric clients with a wide range of needs.
- Diagnose communication and swallowing disorders, developing evidence-based individualized treatment plans.
- Provide direct therapy services, utilizing a variety of techniques and therapeutic approaches, including teletherapy.
- Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as needed, documenting all therapy sessions and client outcomes.
- Educate and train parents/caregivers on strategies to support their child's development at home.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, educators, occupational therapists, physical therapists, and other professionals involved in the child's care.
- Maintain accurate and timely client records in compliance with ethical and legal standards.
- Supervise and mentor junior SLPs and therapy assistants, providing guidance and feedback.
- Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and continuing education opportunities.
- Stay current with research and advancements in speech-language pathology and pediatric care.
- Contribute to program development and quality improvement initiatives within the therapy center.
- Advocate for the needs of pediatric clients and their families within the healthcare and educational systems.
- Assist in the development and delivery of parent/community education workshops.
- Ensure a safe and therapeutic environment for all clients during in-person sessions.
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Current licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Kenya.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA or equivalent.
- Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience specializing in pediatric speech-language pathology.
- Proven expertise in evaluating and treating a broad range of pediatric communication and swallowing disorders (e.g., articulation, language delays, pragmatic language, dysphagia).
- Experience with teletherapy platforms and delivering remote therapeutic services.
- Strong understanding of child development and family-centered care principles.
- Excellent clinical judgment, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Outstanding interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and relevant therapy software.
