Our client, a leading telecommunications innovator, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Security Engineer to join their fully remote cybersecurity team. This critical role will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust network security solutions across our client's cloud infrastructure and corporate network. You will play a key role in protecting sensitive data, preventing unauthorized access, and ensuring the integrity and availability of our network services. Your responsibilities will include developing and enforcing security policies, configuring and managing security devices (firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs), and performing regular security audits and vulnerability assessments. You will also be involved in incident response, threat hunting, and forensic analysis. A deep understanding of cloud security best practices (AWS, Azure, GCP), network protocols, and modern cybersecurity threats is essential. Collaboration with IT operations, development teams, and other security professionals is vital. - Collaborate with IT and development teams to ensure security is integrated into all systems and applications.
- Create and maintain comprehensive security documentation and reports.
- Participate in on-call rotation for security incident response.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CCNA Security, GIAC) are highly desirable.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in network security engineering, with a strong focus on enterprise networks and cloud security.
- In-depth knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF), security technologies, and threat landscapes.
- Hands-on experience with configuring and managing firewalls (e.g., Palo Alto, Cisco ASA), IDS/IPS, and SIEM solutions.
- Proficiency in cloud security principles and best practices for AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation of security tasks is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex security issues.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, essential for remote collaboration.
