  • Develop and manage Bill of Materials (BOM) and technical documentation, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Oversee the prototyping and testing phases of new designs, analyzing results, and iterating as necessary.
  • Identify and implement innovative design solutions to enhance product efficiency, reduce weight, and lower manufacturing costs.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant aerospace standards (e.g., AS9100) and safety regulations.
  • Effectively communicate technical information and project status updates to stakeholders in a remote setting.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in mechanical design engineering, with a significant portion focused on the aerospace sector.
  • Expertise in CAD software (SolidWorks, CATIA, or similar) and simulation tools (ANSYS, COMSOL, or similar).
  • Strong understanding of material science, thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, and structural mechanics as applied to aerospace systems.
  • Proven ability to design complex mechanisms, housings, and thermal management systems.
  • Experience with manufacturing processes such as machining, casting, and additive manufacturing.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Exceptional communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills, vital for remote team success.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a remote work environment.
  • Familiarity with aerospace industry regulations and quality management systems.
