Qualifications:

- Minimum of 8 years of experience in horticultural research and development.
- Extensive knowledge of plant physiology, genetics, and breeding.
- Proven experience in designing and conducting field and laboratory research.
- Strong understanding of statistical analysis and experimental design.
- Excellent scientific writing and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage research projects remotely.
- Familiarity with horticultural techniques relevant to coastal and tropical climates, such as those found in Mombasa, Mombasa, KE , is a significant advantage.
- Experience with greenhouse management and controlled environment agriculture.
