Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Electrical Systems Technician to join our remote operational support team. This role is pivotal in providing expert technical assistance, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance for our electrical systems and equipment across various sites. As a fully remote position, you will leverage your deep technical knowledge to guide on-site teams, diagnose complex issues, and recommend effective solutions, often through detailed remote guidance and documentation. You will be responsible for interpreting electrical schematics, diagnosing faults in complex systems, and advising on repair and maintenance procedures. The ideal candidate possesses a comprehensive understanding of industrial electrical systems, control systems, PLCs, and safety protocols. You must have excellent problem-solving skills, the ability to communicate technical information clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical personnel, and a strong commitment to safety and quality. Your expertise will be crucial in minimizing downtime and ensuring the optimal performance of our electrical infrastructure. This role requires a proactive approach to identifying potential issues and developing preventative strategies. You will also be involved in documenting maintenance procedures, training junior technicians, and contributing to the continuous improvement of our electrical systems. The work will be based out of Machakos, Machakos, KE , but performed remotely.

- Diagnose electrical faults and failures in complex machinery and control systems.
- Recommend and guide on appropriate repair and maintenance procedures.
- Ensure adherence to all safety regulations and best practices during maintenance activities.
- Develop and document preventative maintenance plans and schedules.
- Assist in the planning and execution of electrical system upgrades and installations.
- Train and mentor junior technicians on electrical system maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and system performance.
- Liaise with vendors and suppliers for parts and technical information.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of electrical system reliability and efficiency.
- Conduct remote safety audits and provide recommendations.
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of hands-on experience as an Electrical Technician, preferably with a focus on industrial systems.
- Strong understanding of electrical theory, AC/DC circuits, control systems, and PLCs.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting complex electrical schematics and diagrams.
- Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
- Ability to communicate technical information effectively in a remote setting.
- Knowledge of relevant safety standards and electrical codes.
- Experience with preventative maintenance programs.
- Ability to work independently and manage tasks remotely.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Experience with power distribution and motor control systems is a plus.
