Our client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Cybersecurity Analyst with a strong focus on Cloud Security to join our expanding Information Security team. This is a fully remote position, enabling you to leverage your expertise from anywhere. You will be instrumental in protecting our organization's digital assets by designing, implementing, and managing robust security measures across our cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP). Your role will involve proactive threat hunting, incident response, security monitoring, vulnerability management, and ensuring compliance with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement cloud security strategies and architecture.
  • Monitor security alerts and events across cloud environments, identifying and responding to threats in real-time.
  • Conduct regular security assessments and penetration testing of cloud services and applications.
  • Manage and configure cloud security tools, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, WAFs, and SIEM solutions.
  • Investigate security incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
  • Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and documentation for cloud environments.
  • Collaborate with DevOps and engineering teams to integrate security into the CI/CD pipeline.
  • Provide security awareness training and guidance to internal teams.
  • Stay current with emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and security technologies.
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, coupled with at least 5 years of progressive experience in cybersecurity, with a significant portion dedicated to cloud security. Advanced certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, or cloud-specific security certifications (AWS Certified Security – Specialty, Azure Security Engineer Associate) are highly valued. A deep understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), container security (Docker, Kubernetes), and scripting languages (Python, Bash) for automation is required. Proven experience in incident response, digital forensics, and vulnerability management is essential. You should be adept at communicating complex technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences. This role requires a proactive mindset, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work autonomously in a remote setting. The stated location for this role is **Ruiru, Kiambu, KE**, however, it is a fully remote opportunity.
