The role involves both on-site work at our facilities and in the community, as well as remote administrative and planning duties. - Maintain accurate and timely documentation of assessments, intervention plans, progress notes, and reports.
- Stay current with research and best practices in child development and early intervention.
- Provide training and mentorship to junior staff and students.
- Participate in community outreach activities to raise awareness about early intervention services.
- Advocate for the needs of children and families within the community and service systems.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Child Development, Early Childhood Education, Psychology, Special Education, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working directly with young children (0-5 years) with developmental delays or disabilities.
- Demonstrated knowledge of child development theories, assessment tools, and intervention strategies.
- Experience in creating and implementing Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSPs) or similar individualized plans.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and active listening skills.
- Ability to build rapport and trust with families from diverse backgrounds.
- Proficiency in record-keeping and documentation.
- Familiarity with local resources and referral networks in the Kisumu region is a plus.
- Valid professional license or certification as required by local regulations.
