Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Research Scientist specializing in Genomics to join their cutting-edge research facility located in Garissa, Garissa, KE . This is a laboratory-based position requiring hands-on expertise in molecular biology and genetic analysis techniques. The successful candidate will be instrumental in designing, conducting, and analyzing experiments focused on understanding gene function, genetic variation, and disease mechanisms. Responsibilities include developing and optimizing high-throughput genomic assays, performing DNA/RNA extraction and sequencing library preparation, and analyzing large-scale genomic datasets using bioinformatics tools. You will be responsible for experimental design, data interpretation, and troubleshooting experimental challenges. The Research Scientist will contribute to research projects by generating high-quality data, maintaining accurate laboratory records, and presenting findings at team meetings and potentially at scientific conferences.
