Our client is seeking a highly skilled and innovative Remote Structural Engineer to join their global team. This is a fully remote position where you will play a crucial role in the design and analysis of various construction projects. You will be responsible for developing structural concepts, performing calculations, and producing detailed design documentation, all while collaborating with architects, project managers, and construction teams virtually. The ideal candidate is a licensed engineer with a strong understanding of structural principles, building codes, and design software.

- Collaborate effectively with architects, MEP engineers, and other disciplines to integrate structural designs into overall project plans.
- Conduct site visits (if required and feasible remotely or through local representation) and field investigations.
- Review contractor submittals and respond to requests for information (RFIs) during the construction phase.
- Prepare reports and presentations on design findings and recommendations.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance.
- Stay abreast of new technologies, materials, and construction methods.
- Contribute to the development of design standards and best practices.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Structural Engineering or a related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent professional accreditation.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in structural design of buildings.
- Proficiency in structural analysis and design software (e.g., ETABS, SAP2000, STAAD.Pro).
- Experience with BIM software (e.g., Revit Structure) is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of structural principles, materials, and construction techniques.
- Knowledge of relevant building codes (e.g., Eurocodes, IBC).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for remote collaboration.
- Ability to work independently and manage project timelines effectively in a remote setting.
- This role supports projects for our client in the Malindi, Kilifi, KE region, and is fully remote.
