Qualifications:
  • Ph.D. in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of post-doctoral or industry research experience in bioinformatics.
  • Extensive experience with programming languages such as Python, R, and Perl.
  • Proficiency in using bioinformatics databases, tools, and pipelines (e.g., BLAST, GATK, WGS/WES analysis).
  • Strong understanding of molecular biology, genetics, and disease mechanisms.
  • Demonstrated experience with statistical modeling and machine learning techniques.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
  • Proven ability to communicate complex scientific concepts effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Experience leading research projects and mentoring junior staff.
  • Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (AWS, GCP) is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a fully remote research environment.
