- Create and manage technical documentation, including drawings, specifications, bills of materials (BOMs), and engineering change orders (ECOs).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, software engineers, and manufacturing specialists, to ensure design integrity and manufacturability.
- Conduct design reviews, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions.
- Specify materials, tolerances, and manufacturing processes for mechanical components.
- Support prototype fabrication, testing, and validation activities.
- Troubleshoot design-related problems encountered during testing or production.
- Stay current with the latest advancements in mechanical engineering, materials science, and aerospace technologies.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the team's technical growth.
- Ensure designs comply with relevant industry standards (e.g., AS9100, military specifications).

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in mechanical design, with a significant focus on aerospace or a related high-tech industry.
- Proven expertise in CAD and CAE software for mechanical design and analysis.
- In-depth knowledge of mechanical principles, including statics, dynamics, thermodynamics, and fluid mechanics.
- Experience with material selection, manufacturing processes (e.g., machining, additive manufacturing), and tolerancing.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
