- Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or a closely related field. A Master's degree is a significant advantage.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in mining engineering, with a proven track record of leading complex projects.
- Extensive knowledge of various mining methods (e.g., cut and fill, sublevel caving, open pit).
- Proficiency in mine planning and design software (e.g., Deswik, Vulcan, Surpac).
- Strong understanding of mine ventilation, ground control, and blasting techniques.
- Experience with mine simulation and modeling.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage projects, budgets, and timelines effectively.
- Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental best practices in the mining industry.
- Ability to work autonomously and make sound technical decisions in a remote setting.
