This is a critical, fully remote position requiring extensive expertise in mineral exploration, resource modeling, and geological interpretation. You will be responsible for identifying and evaluating new mineral prospects, planning and overseeing exploration programs, and developing robust geological models for resource estimation. This role demands a profound understanding of structural geology, petrology, geochemistry, and various geophysical exploration techniques. You will work closely with the exploration management team, geophysicists, and engineers to define exploration strategies and targets. Key responsibilities include interpreting geological and geophysical data, designing and managing drilling programs, conducting field-based geological mapping and sampling, and preparing comprehensive geological reports for internal and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate possesses a Master's or Ph.D. in Geology or a related field, with a minimum of 10-15 years of progressive experience in mineral exploration, preferably in base metals or precious metals. Proven experience with geological modeling software (e.g., Leapfrog, Vulcan, Surpac) and a strong understanding of resource estimation best practices are essential. Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills are required.
