This fully remote position requires a proactive and detail-oriented professional to design, implement, and manage robust security solutions that protect our networks, systems, and data from evolving threats. You will be responsible for network vulnerability assessments, intrusion detection and prevention, firewall management, VPN implementation, and incident response, all performed from your remote workspace. The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of network protocols, security best practices, and a proven ability to troubleshoot complex security challenges in a fast-paced telecommunications environment. - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in network security engineering, preferably within the telecommunications sector.
- Proven expertise in securing complex IP networks, including routing, switching, and firewall technologies.
- Hands-on experience with security tools such as firewalls (e.g., Palo Alto, Cisco ASA), IDS/IPS, SIEM solutions, and endpoint security.
- Strong understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF) and security concepts (e.g., encryption, authentication, authorization).
- Relevant security certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, CCNP Security, or equivalent are highly desirable.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical security concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to work independently and effectively manage responsibilities in a remote environment.
