Our client, a dynamic and rapidly growing logistics firm, is seeking a highly organized and proactive Remote Logistics Coordinator to join their virtual operations team. This role is instrumental in ensuring the smooth and efficient movement of goods across various distribution channels within Kenya and the broader East African region. While the role is fully remote, based in Bungoma, Bungoma, KE , you will be expected to maintain consistent communication and collaboration with a dispersed team and various stakeholders.
The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, implementing, and monitoring logistical strategies to support the efficient flow of operations. This includes managing transportation schedules, coordinating with carriers and suppliers, optimizing delivery routes to reduce costs and improve efficiency, and ensuring timely delivery of products. You will also be tasked with managing inventory levels, processing shipping orders, and handling all necessary documentation, including customs clearance where applicable. Furthermore, this position requires a keen eye for detail in tracking shipments, resolving any issues or delays that may arise, and providing regular reports on logistics performance to management.

Key Responsibilities:

- Coordinate with truck drivers, fleet managers, and third-party logistics providers.

- Track shipments in real-time and provide updates to relevant parties.
- Manage shipping documentation, including bills of lading, invoices, and customs declarations.
- Negotiate freight rates and contracts with carriers.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and manage warehousing logistics if applicable.
- Resolve delivery discrepancies and customer complaints promptly.
