Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Field Service Technician to manage and execute remote installations, maintenance, and troubleshooting of complex network infrastructure. While this role is primarily remote, it requires the ability to travel occasionally to client sites for hands-on work as needed, but the core operational management and planning will be conducted from your remote workspace. You will be responsible for leading a team of field technicians, ensuring adherence to service level agreements (SLAs), and maintaining the highest standards of technical support. Your duties will involve planning service calls, diagnosing technical issues through remote diagnostics, coordinating on-site interventions when necessary, and documenting all service activities. A strong understanding of networking protocols, hardware, and diagnostic tools is essential. This position demands exceptional organizational skills, strong leadership capabilities, and the ability to work independently and as part of a distributed team. You will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability and performance of our client's critical network systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Qualifications required include a degree or diploma in Electronics, Telecommunications, or a related technical field. A minimum of 6 years of hands-on experience in field service, with at least 2 years in a lead or supervisory role, is necessary. Proficiency in network hardware installation and maintenance, troubleshooting of various network components, and experience with remote management tools are paramount. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and time management skills are a must. The ability to work autonomously and manage multiple tasks simultaneously is key. This role is based out of Naivasha, Nakuru, KE , but operates primarily remotely.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a team of remote field service technicians, providing technical guidance and performance management.
- Plan, schedule, and oversee the execution of installation, maintenance, and repair services for network infrastructure.
- Utilize remote diagnostic tools to identify and resolve technical issues efficiently.
- Coordinate and dispatch field technicians for on-site support when remote resolution is not possible.

- Manage inventory of spare parts and equipment, ensuring timely replenishment.

- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies.
