Our client is seeking a meticulous and knowledgeable Remote HR Policy and Compliance Specialist to develop, implement, and manage HR policies and ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations. This role is fully remote, requiring strong organizational and communication skills to manage HR functions effectively from a distance. You will be responsible for reviewing and updating existing HR policies and procedures to align with legal requirements and best practices, as well as creating new policies as needed. This includes areas such as recruitment, compensation, employee relations, performance management, and benefits. You will conduct regular audits to assess compliance with internal policies and external regulations, identifying any gaps and recommending corrective actions. Staying abreast of changes in labor laws and employment legislation, both national and international, is critical. You will also advise management and employees on policy interpretation and application, ensuring fair and consistent treatment across the organization. Developing and delivering training programs on HR policies and compliance for employees and managers will be part of your duties. A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Law, Business Administration, or a related field is required. Professional HR certification (e.g., CHRP) is a significant advantage. Extensive experience (5+ years) in HR policy development, implementation, and compliance management is essential. A deep understanding of Kenyan labor laws and employment regulations is a must. Excellent analytical, research, and problem-solving skills are needed.
