- Ensure compliance with data protection and privacy regulations.
- Stay current with changes in legislation and legal precedents affecting the business.
- Conduct internal investigations and advise on corrective actions.
- Support business units with legal and compliance guidance for new initiatives.
- Foster a strong culture of compliance and ethical conduct throughout the organization.
- Admitted to the bar and in good standing with a recognized legal body in Kenya.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience as a corporate lawyer, preferably with in-house experience.
- Strong expertise in Kenyan corporate law, commercial contracts, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent legal drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple complex legal matters simultaneously.
- Experience with data privacy and intellectual property law is highly advantageous.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
