- Interpret technical service bulletins (TSBs) and manufacturer repair information to recommend solutions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to engine performance, electrical systems, braking systems, climate control, and other vehicle components.
- Maintain accurate records of diagnostic findings, recommended repairs, and time spent on each case.
- Collaborate with engineering and product development teams to provide feedback on vehicle performance and potential improvements.
- Develop and update diagnostic guides and troubleshooting resources for field technicians.
- Stay current with the latest automotive technologies, diagnostic tools, and repair techniques.
- Assist in training and mentoring junior technicians on diagnostic best practices.
- Ensure that all recommendations align with manufacturer specifications and safety standards.
- Effectively communicate complex technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Diploma or Degree in Automotive Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- ASE certifications (e.g., G1, A6, A7, A8, L1) are highly desirable.
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience as an automotive technician, with a strong emphasis on diagnostics.
- In-depth knowledge of automotive electrical systems, engine management, and diagnostic software.
- Proficiency with advanced diagnostic scan tools (e.g., Snap-on, Autel, dealer-specific tools).
- Experience with remote diagnostic platforms and video conferencing tools.
