- Collaborate with grid operators, regulatory bodies, and project developers to ensure compliance with interconnection standards and requirements.
- Provide expert technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineering staff.
- Conduct feasibility studies and techno-economic assessments for new renewable energy projects.
- Develop and implement advanced control strategies for renewable energy plants to enhance grid support services.
- Author technical reports, specifications, and presentations for internal stakeholders and external clients.
- Stay abreast of evolving grid codes, industry best practices, and emerging technologies in renewable energy and grid modernization.
- Contribute to the company's strategic direction in renewable energy integration and grid technologies.
Qualifications:
- Master's or Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering with a specialization in Power Systems Engineering.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in the renewable energy sector, with a focus on grid integration and power systems analysis.
- In-depth knowledge of grid codes, interconnection standards, and power system dynamics.
- Proficiency in power system simulation and modeling software.
- Experience with various renewable energy technologies (PV, wind) and energy storage systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to tackle complex technical challenges.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of presenting complex technical information to diverse audiences.
- Proven leadership experience and the ability to mentor teams.
- Familiarity with market mechanisms and ancillary services for renewable energy integration.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent is highly desirable.
