Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Lead the conceptual design and detailed engineering of large-scale renewable energy projects (solar PV, wind farms, hybrid systems, battery energy storage systems).
- Perform system modeling, simulation, and performance analysis to optimize energy generation and grid integration.
- Develop technical specifications, performance requirements, and project documentation.
- Conduct site assessments, feasibility studies, and techno-economic analyses for new renewable energy developments.
- Provide expert technical consultation and support throughout the project lifecycle, from development to commissioning and operation.
- Evaluate and select appropriate technologies, equipment, and vendors for renewable energy projects.
- Stay abreast of the latest technological advancements, market trends, and regulatory landscapes in the renewable energy sector.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with internal teams, external stakeholders, and regulatory bodies to ensure project success.
- Contribute to the development of company-wide strategies and standards for renewable energy deployment.
Qualifications:
- Master's or Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in the renewable energy sector, with a focus on systems engineering and project development.
- Extensive knowledge of solar PV, wind turbine technologies, and battery energy storage systems (BESS).
- Proven expertise in energy system modeling and simulation software (e.g., PVSyst, Homer, PSCAD, ETAP).
- Strong understanding of grid interconnection standards, power systems analysis, and energy market dynamics.
- Experience with project management principles and methodologies.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical information clearly and concisely.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities and experience mentoring engineering teams.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent is highly desirable.
