Our client is seeking a highly experienced and visionary Principal Renewable Energy Systems Analyst to lead their strategic initiatives in sustainable energy solutions. This role is entirely remote, providing the opportunity to work from anywhere while contributing to energy projects relevant to the Nakuru, KE region. You will be instrumental in analyzing, designing, and optimizing renewable energy systems, including solar, wind, and hybrid power projects. This position requires a deep understanding of energy market dynamics, grid integration, energy storage technologies, and project feasibility assessments. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical, modeling, and strategic planning skills, with a proven ability to drive innovation and efficiency in the renewable energy sector. You will guide complex projects, develop policy recommendations, and collaborate with diverse stakeholders to accelerate the transition to clean energy.

- Perform feasibility studies and techno-economic assessments for new renewable energy installations and grid modernization projects.
- Analyze energy market trends, regulatory frameworks, and policy developments impacting the renewable energy sector.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to optimize system design and configuration for maximum efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Develop strategies for integrating distributed energy resources (DERs) into the existing grid infrastructure.
- Prepare comprehensive reports, technical documentation, and presentations for clients, investors, and regulatory bodies.
- Provide expert technical guidance and mentorship to junior analysts and project teams.
- Stay at the forefront of emerging renewable energy technologies and best practices.
- Master's or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Energy Systems, or a related quantitative field.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in renewable energy analysis, project development, or grid integration.
- Proven expertise in modeling and simulation software relevant to energy systems (e.g., PVSyst, HOMER, MATLAB/Simulink).
- Strong understanding of power systems, energy markets, and regulatory environments.
- Experience with energy storage technologies and their application in grid-scale projects.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and quantitative modeling skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information clearly.
