- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, controls engineers, and product managers, throughout the product lifecycle.
- Develop and refine best practices for mechanical design, testing, and validation within the team.
- Identify and evaluate new technologies and materials to enhance robotic system capabilities.
- Manage vendor relationships and ensure the quality of procured components and sub-assemblies.
- Prepare and present technical documentation, design reviews, and project proposals to stakeholders.
- Master's or Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, with a specialization in robotics, mechatronics, or automation.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in mechanical engineering, with a significant focus on robotics, automation, or complex electromechanical systems.
- Proven experience in designing and developing sophisticated robotic manipulators, mobile robots, or automated machinery.
- Expertise in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA) and advanced simulation tools (FEA, CFD, MBS).
- Strong understanding of kinematics, dynamics, control theory, and mechatronic system integration.
- Experience with materials science and selection for demanding applications.
- Excellent leadership, project management, and problem-solving skills.
- Superior communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively lead and collaborate in a distributed team environment.
- Demonstrated ability to innovate and solve complex technical challenges.
