Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement comprehensive information security architectures, policies, and procedures.
- Conduct thorough risk assessments, vulnerability analyses, and threat modeling exercises.
- Develop security standards and guidelines for cloud environments, applications, and networks.
- Oversee the selection and implementation of security technologies, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, encryption, and endpoint protection.
- Lead incident response planning and execution, ensuring minimal impact from security breaches.
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure secure coding practices and integrate security into the SDLC (DevSecOps).
- Advise on data privacy and compliance with regulations such as GDPR, CCPA, and local data protection laws.
- Develop and deliver security awareness training programs for employees.
- Stay current with the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies.
- Provide expert guidance and mentorship to junior security professionals.
- Manage security architecture reviews and ensure alignment with business objectives and risk appetite.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in information security, with a strong focus on security architecture and design.
- Extensive knowledge of security frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001), threat intelligence, and incident response.
- Proven experience in designing secure cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) and implementing DevSecOps practices.
- Expertise in network security, application security, cryptography, and identity and access management (IAM).
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or SANS GIAC are highly desirable.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration abilities, particularly in a remote setting.
- Ability to effectively coordinate security efforts remotely, supporting operations in regions like **Naivasha, Nakuru, KE**, and globally.
