Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and manage geological exploration programs, including surface mapping, sampling, and drilling campaigns.
- Interpret and integrate diverse geological datasets, including geochemical, geophysical, and structural data.
- Develop, validate, and maintain 3D geological and resource models using industry-standard software (e.g., Leapfrog, Vulcan, Surpac).
- Conduct rigorous resource estimation and classification according to international standards (e.g., JORC, NI 43-101).
- Provide geological input for mine planning, feasibility studies, and operational decision-making.
- Mentor and guide junior geologists and technical staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance team environment.
- Prepare high-quality geological reports, technical memorandums, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations related to exploration activities.
- Collaborate with metallurgists, mining engineers, and other geoscientists to optimize resource utilization.
- Stay abreast of the latest advancements in geological modeling techniques, software, and exploration technologies.
Qualifications:
- MSc or PhD in Geology, Economic Geology, or a related earth science field.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in mineral exploration and resource geology, with a significant portion focused on advanced modeling and estimation.
- Proven expertise in geological modeling software such as Leapfrog Geo, Micromine, Vulcan, or Surpac.
- Demonstrated experience in resource estimation and classification under JORC or NI 43-101 standards.
- Strong understanding of various deposit types and mineralization styles relevant to the company's exploration targets.
- Excellent analytical, statistical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to effectively manage complex projects and deliver results within tight deadlines.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical information clearly.
- Experience managing and mentoring remote technical teams is highly desirable.
- Must be willing to travel to operational sites periodically as required.
This position is fundamentally remote, enabling work from anywhere. While the operational focus is linked to Bungoma, Bungoma, KE , the role is performed remotely, requiring strong self-discipline and remote collaboration capabilities.

- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in mineral exploration and resource estimation, with a focus on (Specify relevant mineral types, e.g., gold, copper, base metals).
