Responsibilities:

- Contribute to grant writing and secure external funding for research projects.
- Engage in cross-functional teams to translate research findings into potential clinical applications.
- Maintain and enhance computational infrastructure and software resources utilized by the bioinformatics team.
The ideal candidate will possess a Ph.D. in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Computer Science, or a related field, with extensive post-doctoral or industry experience. Demonstrated expertise in programming languages (e.g., Python, R, Perl), database management, and cloud computing platforms is crucial. A deep understanding of molecular biology, genetics, and disease mechanisms is highly desirable. This position is critical for advancing our client's understanding of complex biological systems and will involve extensive remote collaboration, impacting research endeavors focused on challenges in Nairobi, Nairobi, KE and beyond.
