Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the definition of system requirements for new aviation platforms and modifications.
- Develop and maintain system architecture designs, ensuring compliance with aviation standards and regulations.
- Oversee the integration of avionic, electrical, mechanical, and software subsystems.
- Conduct rigorous system analysis, simulation, and validation activities.
- Identify and mitigate system risks throughout the development lifecycle.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional engineering teams, suppliers, and regulatory bodies.
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans for system verification and validation.
- Ensure adherence to stringent safety standards (e.g., DO-178C, DO-254) and quality management systems.
- Prepare detailed technical documentation, including system specifications, interface control documents, and test reports.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and contribute to process improvements.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree or Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in aviation systems engineering, with a proven track record of leading complex projects.
- In-depth knowledge of avionic systems, aircraft platforms, and aerospace design principles.
- Expertise in systems engineering methodologies, tools, and best practices.
- Familiarity with aviation regulations and certification processes (e.g., FAA, EASA).
- Strong understanding of hardware-software integration and embedded systems.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage complex technical challenges in a fully remote environment.
- Experience with simulation tools and model-based systems engineering (MBSE) is highly desirable.
