Our client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Manufacturing Process Engineer to join our fully remote team. This role is critical for driving continuous improvement initiatives within our manufacturing operations. You will be responsible for analyzing existing production processes, identifying areas for enhancement, and implementing solutions to increase efficiency, reduce waste, improve quality, and lower costs. Your expertise will be vital in optimizing production throughput, implementing lean manufacturing principles, and ensuring that manufacturing processes meet stringent quality and safety standards. As a Process Engineer, you will collaborate closely with production teams, quality assurance, and engineering departments to achieve operational excellence. The ideal candidate possesses a strong understanding of manufacturing principles, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and a proven track record in process improvement methodologies such as Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing. Experience with statistical process control (SPC) and various manufacturing technologies is essential. - Conduct root cause analysis for production issues and implement corrective and preventative actions.
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) for manufacturing processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of process improvements.
- Stay current with industry best practices and emerging technologies in manufacturing engineering.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in manufacturing process engineering and continuous improvement.
- Proven experience with Lean Manufacturing principles and tools.
- Certified Lean or Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt preferred.
- Strong understanding of statistical process control (SPC) and data analysis.
- Experience in process simulation and modeling is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
- Strong project management and organizational abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with diverse teams.
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively in a remote environment.
