This is a critical, fully remote role requiring a sharp legal mind with a strong background in commercial contracts and corporate law. You will play a pivotal role in advising on a wide range of legal matters, ensuring compliance, and mitigating risk.

- Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements, including vendor contracts, service agreements, partnership agreements, and licensing agreements.
- Provide expert legal advice and counsel to internal business units on contractual terms, risks, and compliance matters.
- Manage and resolve legal disputes, including litigation support and settlement negotiations.
- Develop and implement legal policies and procedures to ensure regulatory compliance across all operations.
- Conduct legal research and analysis on complex issues related to corporate law, intellectual property, data privacy, and employment law.
- Advise on corporate governance matters and assist with corporate filings and compliance.
- Liaise with external counsel and regulatory bodies as needed.
- Stay abreast of changes in relevant laws and regulations and advise the business accordingly.
- Support M&A activities, due diligence, and integration processes.
- Develop and deliver legal training to business teams.
Qualifications:
- Admitted to practice law in Kenya, with a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from a reputable institution.
- A minimum of 5-7 years of post-qualification experience, preferably with a focus on commercial contracts and corporate law, gained in a law firm or in-house legal department.
- Proven experience in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex commercial agreements.
