This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to work from any location in Kenya. You will be instrumental in coaching multiple Scrum teams, fostering an agile mindset, and ensuring the effective implementation of Scrum and Kanban methodologies. This role requires a deep understanding of agile frameworks, excellent facilitation skills, and the ability to remove impediments at both team and organizational levels. You will champion agile best practices, promote continuous improvement, and help cultivate a culture of collaboration and high performance. - Coach and mentor multiple Scrum teams on agile principles, Scrum framework, and best practices.
- Facilitate Scrum events, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Identify and remove impediments that hinder team progress and productivity.
- Promote a collaborative and self-organizing team environment.
- Help teams improve their agile maturity and deliver high-quality products iteratively.
- Assist Product Owners with backlog refinement and prioritization.
- Track and report on team progress, metrics, and key performance indicators.
- Foster strong working relationships with stakeholders across different departments.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the agile coaching practice.
- Champion the adoption and scaling of agile methodologies within the organization.
- Provide guidance and support to newly formed agile teams.
- Help resolve conflicts and foster effective communication within and between teams.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience as a Scrum Master, with a proven track record of successfully guiding multiple teams.
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM) certification is required.
- Experience with Agile transformation initiatives and scaling agile frameworks (e.g., SAFe) is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of Agile principles and various Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
- Excellent facilitation, coaching, and mentoring skills.
- Proficiency in using agile project management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
- Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and build rapport.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a remote setting.
