Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement advanced reservoir management strategies to maximize ultimate recovery and economic value.
- Conduct detailed reservoir studies, including performance analysis, material balance, and simulation modeling.
- Utilize advanced reservoir simulation software to predict future reservoir behavior and evaluate development scenarios.
- Analyze production data, well logs, and core data to build and refine geological and reservoir models.
- Identify opportunities for enhanced oil recovery (EOR) and optimize existing EOR projects.
- Collaborate with geoscientists, production engineers, and management teams in a virtual environment.
- Prepare technical reports, presentations, and economic evaluations for reservoir projects.
- Mentor and guide junior reservoir engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence.
- Stay current with new technologies and methodologies in reservoir engineering and management.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant industry standards and best practices.
- A Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline; a Master's degree is preferred.
- A minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in reservoir engineering, encompassing various field development and production phases.
- Proven expertise in reservoir simulation software (e.g., ECLIPSE, CMG, Petrel RE) and data analysis tools.
- Strong understanding of reservoir characterization, fluid flow in porous media, and recovery mechanisms.
- Demonstrated ability to perform complex technical analyses and make data-driven recommendations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with experience working effectively in distributed, cross-functional teams.
- Capacity for independent work, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience with unconventional reservoirs is a significant advantage.
- Familiarity with economic evaluation software and principles.
- A dedicated home office with reliable high-speed internet is mandatory for this remote position.
