Our client is seeking an accomplished Lead Renewable Energy Project Manager with extensive experience in solar energy projects to spearhead new initiatives. This role is critical in driving the successful planning, execution, and completion of large-scale solar power projects from inception to commissioning. You will manage all project phases, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards, while fostering strong relationships with stakeholders, contractors, and regulatory bodies. This position is fully remote, enabling you to manage projects from a location of your choice, coordinating with teams and sites globally. Responsibilities include: Leading the end-to-end management of renewable energy projects, primarily focusing on solar photovoltaic (PV) systems. Developing comprehensive project plans, including scope, budgets, timelines, and resource allocation. Identifying and mitigating project risks, developing contingency plans. Managing project teams, including engineers, contractors, and consultants, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment. Overseeing procurement, contract negotiation, and vendor management. Ensuring projects comply with all relevant safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements. Monitoring project progress, performance, and expenditures, providing regular status reports to senior management. Acting as the primary point of contact for clients, investors, and other key stakeholders. Driving continuous improvement in project management methodologies and execution strategies. Championing innovation and the adoption of new technologies within the renewable energy sector.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil), Project Management, or a related field. Master's degree or PMP certification is highly preferred. Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in project management, with a significant portion (5+ years) focused on renewable energy, specifically solar PV projects. Demonstrated success in managing complex, multi-million dollar energy projects from initiation to closure. Strong understanding of solar technology, project development lifecycle, grid interconnection, and energy policy. Proven experience in financial modeling, budgeting, and cost control. Excellent leadership, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and prioritize effectively. Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera). Strong risk management and problem-solving capabilities. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate technical and financial information clearly to diverse audiences. Experience working in a remote or distributed team environment is essential.
