Core Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement advanced quantitative models for financial derivatives pricing, hedging, and risk management.
- Build and maintain high-frequency trading algorithms and strategies, optimizing for performance and profitability.
- Conduct thorough statistical analysis and back-testing of trading models using large datasets.
- Collaborate with portfolio managers and traders to understand their needs and translate them into quantitative solutions.
- Develop and implement robust risk management frameworks and stress-testing scenarios.
- Perform rigorous validation and calibration of existing models to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code in languages such as Python, C++, or R.
- Stay abreast of academic research and industry trends in quantitative finance, artificial intelligence, and machine learning.
- Mentor and provide technical leadership to junior quantitative analysts, fostering their professional development.
- Present complex quantitative findings and recommendations to senior management and trading desks in a clear and concise manner.
- Ph.D. or Master's degree in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, Computer Science, or Financial Engineering.
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in quantitative finance, with a strong focus on model development and implementation in a financial services environment.
- Expertise in pricing complex derivatives (equities, rates, credit, FX) and implementing hedging strategies.
- Proficiency in at least one high-level programming language (Python, C++, R) and experience with numerical methods.
- Deep understanding of stochastic calculus, time series analysis, machine learning algorithms, and statistical modeling.
- Proven ability to work with large, complex datasets and database technologies.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of explaining intricate concepts to diverse audiences in a remote setting.
- Demonstrated leadership potential and experience in mentoring team members.
- High level of integrity and commitment to ethical conduct in financial practices.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple high-priority projects, and thrive in a fast-paced, remote work environment.
