- Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and cost-benefit analyses for proposed power system designs.
- Ensure all designs comply with relevant national and international electrical codes, standards, and regulations (e.g., IEEE, IEC).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers, clients, and vendors, to define project requirements and ensure successful project execution.
- Develop and implement testing and commissioning plans for power system installations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues that arise during design, construction, and operation phases.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends in power systems engineering.
- Prepare technical reports, proposals, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- A minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in power systems design and engineering.
- Proven track record of leading engineering projects and teams.
- Extensive knowledge of power system analysis software (e.g., ETAP, PSS/E, PSCAD).
- Expertise in power generation technologies, grid integration, renewable energy systems, and energy storage solutions.
- Strong understanding of power system protection, fault analysis, and control systems.
- Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal, and project management skills.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent is highly preferred.
- Experience with distributed generation and microgrid design is a plus.
