- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, software developers, and product managers, to define project requirements.
- Mentor and guide junior mechanical engineers, providing technical expertise and project oversight.
- Develop and execute test plans to validate designs and ensure performance against specifications.
- Identify and troubleshoot design issues, implementing effective solutions.
- Research and recommend new materials, technologies, and manufacturing processes.
- Ensure designs comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and customer requirements.
- Manage project timelines, resources, and budgets effectively in a remote setting.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of engineering processes and methodologies.
- Prepare technical reports, documentation, and presentations for stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree or Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field.
- A minimum of 10 years of professional experience in mechanical design and analysis.
- Proven expertise in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA) and CAE tools (e.g., ANSYS, COMSOL, Star-CCM+).
- Strong theoretical and practical knowledge of mechanics of materials, thermodynamics, heat transfer, and fluid mechanics.
- Experience in leading engineering teams and managing complex projects.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical-thinking skills.
- Outstanding communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively in a remote work environment.
- Experience in (Specific Industry, e.g., Aerospace, Automotive, Robotics) is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with additive manufacturing and advanced materials is a plus.
