Our client is seeking a highly analytical and experienced Lead Logistics and Supply Chain Analyst to join their operations remotely. This role will be pivotal in optimizing our client's extensive logistics network and supply chain efficiency. You will be responsible for analyzing complex data sets to identify trends, bottlenecks, and opportunities for improvement across all warehousing and transportation functions. This is a unique opportunity to shape and refine logistical strategies without being tied to a physical office location. Key responsibilities include:
The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, or a related quantitative field. A Master's degree is preferred. You should have at least 5 years of relevant experience in logistics, supply chain analysis, or operations management, with a strong emphasis on data analysis and process improvement. Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Python, R) and experience with WMS/TMS software are essential. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills are a must. This is a fully remote position, requiring strong self-discipline and the ability to work independently. You will be supporting the logistical operations which may involve oversight of facilities located in areas such as **Kisumu, Kisumu, KE**, but your work will be conducted entirely from a remote setting.
- Developing and implementing advanced analytical models to forecast demand, manage inventory, and optimize transportation routes.
- Analyzing operational data from warehousing and distribution to identify inefficiencies and cost-saving opportunities.
- Collaborating with internal teams (procurement, operations, sales) and external partners (carriers, 3PLs) to ensure smooth supply chain flow.
- Designing and implementing key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and track logistics performance.
- Leading projects focused on improving warehouse management systems (WMS) and transportation management systems (TMS).
- Identifying and mitigating risks within the supply chain.
- Generating regular reports and presentations for senior management, highlighting key insights and recommendations.
- Mentoring and guiding junior analysts in the supply chain team.
- Staying abreast of the latest trends and technologies in logistics and supply chain management.
