Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and evaluate infection prevention and control policies and procedures based on current evidence and best practices.
- Monitor surveillance data for healthcare-associated infections (HAIs), analyze trends, and implement targeted interventions.
- Conduct regular risk assessments of hospital environments, procedures, and equipment to identify potential sources of infection.
- Provide education and training to healthcare personnel on infection control principles, practices, and compliance.
- Lead outbreak investigations and implement control measures to prevent the spread of infectious agents.

- Serve as a key resource and consultant for infection control matters throughout the organization.
- Participate in hospital-wide quality improvement initiatives related to patient safety.
- Manage and mentor a team of infection control practitioners if applicable.
- Master's degree in Nursing, Public Health, Microbiology, or a related clinical science.
- Certification in Infection Control (CIC) or eligibility to obtain certification.
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in infection prevention and control within a healthcare setting.
- Extensive knowledge of infectious diseases, epidemiology, and control strategies.
- Proficiency in data analysis and interpretation for surveillance and risk assessment.
- Strong understanding of relevant regulations and guidelines (e.g., WHO, CDC).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work autonomously, manage complex projects, and make sound decisions in a remote setting.
- Experience with electronic health records and infection control surveillance software is an asset.
