Our client, a prominent player in the Oil & Gas sector, is seeking an experienced Lead Drilling Operations Engineer to oversee and optimize drilling operations. This role is based in the operational hub of **Nakuru, Nakuru, KE**, with a hybrid work arrangement allowing for a balance between on-site supervision and remote planning and analysis. The successful candidate will be responsible for the technical integrity and efficient execution of drilling programs, ensuring adherence to safety, environmental, and regulatory standards. Key responsibilities include designing well plans, managing drilling fluids, equipment selection, and risk assessment. You will lead a team of drilling engineers and technicians, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance management. This position requires a strong understanding of geological formations, reservoir characteristics, and drilling technologies. The Lead Drilling Operations Engineer will work closely with reservoir engineers, production engineers, and HSE personnel to achieve project objectives.
