Job Description
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and innovative Lead Data Scientist to drive advancements in predictive analytics. This is a fully remote position that requires a deep understanding of statistical modeling, machine learning algorithms, and data mining techniques. You will lead a team of data scientists, guiding them in developing and deploying sophisticated models that extract actionable insights from complex datasets. Your responsibilities will include identifying opportunities for predictive modeling, designing experiments, developing and validating models, and communicating findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in building and deploying predictive models for various business applications, such as customer churn prediction, demand forecasting, fraud detection, or risk assessment. Proficiency in programming languages like Python or R, along with experience in data manipulation libraries (Pandas, NumPy) and machine learning frameworks (Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch), is essential. You should have a strong grasp of statistical concepts, data visualization techniques, and experience with big data technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop). Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills are crucial for success in this collaborative remote role. You will play a pivotal role in shaping data-driven decision-making across the organization.

Qualifications:
- Master's or Ph.D. in Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
- 5+ years of experience as a Data Scientist, with a focus on predictive analytics.
- Proven experience in developing and deploying machine learning models in production.
- Strong proficiency in Python or R, and relevant data science libraries.
- Expertise in statistical modeling, machine learning algorithms, and data mining techniques.
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Familiarity with big data technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Excellent data visualization and communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Demonstrated leadership experience and ability to mentor a team.
- Experience working in a remote-first environment.
