- Plan and lead engaging daily activities, including play-based learning, arts and crafts, music, and story time.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all children by supervising them closely and maintaining a secure environment.
- Foster positive social-emotional development by teaching conflict resolution, empathy, and cooperation.
- Monitor children's progress and development, documenting observations and communicating with parents.
- Manage daily routines, including mealtimes, nap times, and hygiene practices.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating classroom environment.
- Supervise and mentor assistant childcare providers, providing guidance and support.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with parents regarding their child's progress, behavior, and needs.
- Ensure compliance with all local and national childcare regulations and licensing standards.
- Handle minor first aid emergencies and administer medication as prescribed, following established protocols.
- Organize and facilitate parent-teacher meetings and special events.
- Diploma or Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a childcare or early childhood education setting, with at least 1 year in a lead or supervisory role.
- Thorough knowledge of child development principles and age-appropriate learning methodologies.
- Strong understanding of child safety, health, and nutrition standards.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to manage classroom behavior effectively and positively.
- Patience, creativity, and a nurturing disposition.
- Proficiency in basic record-keeping and documentation.
- First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Background check and criminal record clearance required.
