Our client is seeking a highly skilled Lead Chemical Engineer with extensive experience in process optimization and development. This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to contribute to critical projects from any location. You will be responsible for analyzing existing chemical processes, identifying opportunities for improvement in efficiency, yield, safety, and cost-effectiveness, and developing innovative solutions. Your expertise will be crucial in enhancing operational performance and driving sustainable practices within our client's manufacturing operations.
Key responsibilities include conducting process simulations and modeling using advanced software, developing process flow diagrams (PFDs) and piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), and performing mass and energy balance calculations. You will lead troubleshooting efforts for process-related issues, provide technical guidance to plant operations teams, and contribute to the design and implementation of process modifications or new equipment. This role requires a strong understanding of chemical reaction engineering, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and separation processes. Collaboration with R&D, manufacturing, and safety departments will be essential to ensure successful project outcomes. The ideal candidate possesses exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts effectively in a remote setting.
