A minimum of 7 years of post-doctoral research experience in bioinformatics, with a significant focus on genomics, is required. Proven expertise in programming languages such as Python and R, and experience with high-performance computing environments and relevant bioinformatics tools and databases (e.g., BLAST, ENSEMBL, UCSC Genome Browser) are essential. Strong analytical and statistical skills, coupled with excellent communication and leadership abilities, are paramount for success in this role. You will be expected to secure funding, present research findings at conferences, and contribute to the strategic direction of the bioinformatics group.
