This pivotal role requires a visionary individual capable of leading design projects from conception through to completion, with a strong emphasis on sustainable and functional urban environments. You will be responsible for guiding design teams, developing master plans, and producing high-quality architectural documentation for a diverse range of projects. The successful candidate will have a proven ability to translate complex client briefs and community needs into compelling and buildable designs. This is a remote-first position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere in Kenya, collaborating closely with colleagues and clients through advanced digital platforms.
Responsibilities include:

- Leading the design development process for various architectural and urban planning projects.
- Conceptualizing and creating innovative design solutions that align with project objectives, aesthetic principles, and sustainability goals.
- Preparing detailed architectural drawings, 3D models, and presentations for client reviews and regulatory submissions.
- Collaborating with engineers, landscape architects, and other consultants to ensure integrated design solutions.
- Mentoring and guiding junior designers and architectural staff.
- Conducting site analyses and feasibility studies for potential projects.
- Ensuring compliance with building codes, zoning regulations, and other relevant standards.
- Developing and managing project timelines and design budgets in coordination with project managers.
- Staying current with emerging trends in architecture, urban design, and sustainable technologies.
- Fostering a collaborative and creative remote work environment within the design team.
