You will be responsible for designing, executing, and analyzing agricultural field trials and experiments, focusing on improving crop yields, resilience, and resource efficiency. - Oversee the research budget and ensure efficient use of resources.
- Mentor junior agronomists and research assistants.
- Evaluate new tools and technologies for improving agricultural efficiency and sustainability.
- Ph.D. or Master's degree in Agronomy, Plant Science, Soil Science, Agricultural Engineering, or a closely related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in agricultural research and development, with a focus on crop management and optimization.
- Demonstrated experience in experimental design and statistical analysis of agricultural data.
- Proficiency in relevant software for data analysis (e.g., R, SAS, SPSS) and agricultural modeling.
- In-depth knowledge of plant physiology, soil science, entomology, and pathology.
- Experience with precision agriculture techniques and technologies is highly desirable.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to disseminate research findings effectively.
- Proven ability to lead research projects and work independently in a remote setting.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to scientific inquiry.
- Passion for advancing agricultural science and promoting sustainable food production.
