Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the company's fleet, ensuring efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Develop and implement fleet management policies and procedures to optimize performance and compliance.
- Manage driver schedules, performance, and training to ensure adherence to company standards and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate vehicle maintenance and repair schedules to minimize downtime and ensure safety.
- Optimize route planning and logistics to ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods.
- Utilize fleet management software and telematics to monitor vehicle performance, driver behavior, and operational metrics.
- Analyze fleet data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with all local, national, and international transportation regulations.
- Manage fuel consumption and implement strategies to reduce costs.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with vehicle suppliers, maintenance providers, and regulatory bodies.
- Respond to and resolve operational issues and emergencies promptly and effectively.
- Manage the fleet budget and track expenditures to ensure financial targets are met.
- Contribute to the development of long-term fleet strategies and capital expenditure plans.
- Ensure all fleet-related documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in fleet management or transportation logistics.
- Proven experience in managing a large and diverse fleet of vehicles.
- In-depth knowledge of transportation regulations, safety standards, and compliance requirements.
- Strong understanding of fleet management software, telematics, and GPS tracking systems.
- Excellent leadership, team management, and communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a focus on operational efficiency.
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in a remote environment.
- Experience in budget management and cost control.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and logistics software.
