While the role is remote-first, it requires the ability to travel to event sites as needed for high-stakes functions. You will work closely with event planners, clients, and a remote culinary team to ensure every dish exceeds expectations. Responsibilities include:

- Sourcing high-quality ingredients from reputable suppliers, focusing on seasonal and local produce where possible.

- Overseeing menu costing and profitability, ensuring adherence to budget guidelines.
- Guiding and mentoring the remote kitchen team, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.
- Developing and implementing strict food safety and hygiene protocols, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
- Collaborating with event managers to coordinate menu planning with venue logistics and service requirements.
- Staying abreast of global culinary trends and incorporating them into menu offerings.
- Conducting remote tastings and menu presentations for clients.
- Managing inventory and controlling food costs effectively.
- Troubleshooting any culinary challenges that arise during event preparation or execution.
- Ensuring exceptional presentation and plating standards for all dishes.
- Professional culinary degree or equivalent apprenticeship from a recognized institution.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive culinary experience, with at least 5 years in a Head Chef or Executive Chef role, preferably in luxury catering or fine dining.
- Demonstrated expertise in a variety of international cuisines.
- Exceptional understanding of food safety, sanitation, and HACCP principles.
- Proven ability to manage budgets, control costs, and optimize profitability.
- Strong leadership, team management, and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a remote team.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Creative flair and a passion for culinary arts.
